Meraki Alliance has undertaken numerous traffic signal design schemes and more recently we have been involved in two major traffic signal designs in Scarborough.
These schemes are funded through regional development to allow for the construction of numerous residential developments surrounding Scarborough. The schemes designed allow additional capacity at key junctions within Scarborough future proofing the network.
The schemes were developed from first principles using Linsig which is specialist traffic signal modeling software. As part of the commission Meraki undertook detailed video and speed surveys to determine accurately the existing capacity of the roads surrounding the proposed signalisation schemes. From these it was possible to develop very accurate traffic models that would closely reflect the future operation and capacity needs of these critical junctions.
Meraki Alliance liaised with the civil design teams to create a network of traffic signals that met the scheme goals. Meraki Alliance did the detailed signal design which included.

- Controller specifications forms MCH1827B1
- MOVA and SCOOT design work
- Detailed bills of quantities for both the electrical and civils elements of the schemes
- MOVA data sets
- Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Testing.
- Post opening observations and fine tuning of signals
